188,736. Cooper, J., and Twin Bobbin Sewing Machine Co., Ltd. Aug. 10, 1921. Lock-stitching by hooks; upper and lower slafts, connecting.-A rotary hook shaft is driven by connection with the end 19 of a lever 15 sliding within a pivoted block 17. The opposite end 16 of the lever is moved through a circular or other path by means of a lever 5 universally mounted on a gimbal support 10 and, at its upper end, engaging with both a cam-groove 9 and the surface of an eccentric drum 4 on the driving shaft 3. Feed by dogs.-The feed-bar is pivotally supported on a feed shaft oscillated by means of an arm 31 depending from the outer gimbal member and is given up-and-down motion from an incline 30 on the lever 15.
