Abstract

188,236. Farnworth, E., and Birtwistle, R. T. Dec. 9, 1921. Mud-guards are made from a single flat metal blank cut to provide material for the side extensions 2, Figs. 1 and 5, and if desired a rear extension 3, these extensions being then corrugated by rolling &c., and finally bent down to the desired angle to the main member 1. The corrugating-rollers may also be shaped to swage the main member longitudinally, as shown at 4, for strengthening purposes.
