Abstract

Vehicle lamps.-In a device for preventing dazzle in vehicle lamps, the reflector is made in the form of two parabolic or like surfaces of revolution with their focal planes coincident and their axes non- coincident but parallel, the light source being placed substantially in the focal plane between the axes of the two surfaces. In one form, the reflector 10 is formed by dividing a paraboloid through the focal planes a-a, and relatively displacing the sections 11, 12 vertically with their axes 11', 12<1> parallel and their focal planes coincident. Through an opening 14 in the rear reflector 12, the, light source 15 is supported in the common focal plane a-a above the focus 17 of the rear reflector 12 and below the focus 16 of the front reflector 11. By this arrangement, downward deflection of the light rays is obtained. A non-reflecting surface 13, substantially in the focal plane, connects the two reflecting-surfaces 11, 12.
