Letter.sheets.-A combined letter-sheet and envelope, comprises an upper part a, Fig. 1, bearing a letter heading, including the sender's name, an adjacent part b bearing the address, and other parts c, d, which together with the reverse side of the sheet are available for the text of the letter, the parts being folded together across their whole breadth so that the heading appears on one side and the address on the other side, and the text is enclosed, the parts being closed on all free edges to prevent unauthorized examination of the text. The edges of the sheet may be secured together by means of gummed edges on the rear of the sheet or by sewing, or by binding them together with wire or the like. 'The parts a, 'b may be so proportioned that, when they are folded together, the gummed top edge f folds over on to the part b and is so narrow that it allows substantially the whole of the part b to be used for the address. The edge f may be arranged to be readily torn off so that the sheet may be opened without any tool, two rows of perforations g, h, Fig 3, equidistant from the fold k being preferably provided. The sheet may be extended by means of one or more continuation sheets e, Fig. 3, each forming an extension of the main sheet, each shorter than the main sheet, and separated therefrom and from each other if desired by perforations.
