Abstract

178,071. Soc. Anon. Le Carbone. April 7, 1921, [Convention date]. Carbon.-Agglomerated graphite is prepared by heating a mixture of graphite and gelatine solution, to which is added a substance, such as trioxymethylene or formaldehyde, which renders the gelatine insoluble. An intimate mixture is placed on trays and heated for ten hours in a stove maintained at a. temperature of about 120‹ C. The material is then ground and sifted, and afterwards compressed.
