177,271. Evered & Co., Ltd., and Evered, S. Dec. 29, 1920. Metal bars.-A two-part bracket socket adapted to slide upon an upright is manufactured by cutting lengths from a bar, produced by extrusion &c., the bar having a channel a and one or more longitudinal beads d. The longitudinal edges at the open side of the channel are so shaped, such as at b and c, that two cut-off portions may interengage, as shown in Fig. 7 to form a clip which is secured on the upright g by a set-screw i. The beads d are drilled to form sockets e for the bracket arms.
