Motor cars, wagons, and the like.-In vehicles having two or more motors adapted to work singly or together, the motors 2, which are arranged at the rear of the vehicle, are severally in releasable driving connection with forwardlydirected shafts 9, any or all of which may be connected to a third shaft driving the rear road wheels. The forward end of any shaft 9 may be clutched to a chainwheel which drives a shaft connected by toothed gearing to a further shaft from which motion is transmitted through a joint 21 and change gear 23 to the rear wheels 24. The propeller shaft may be replaced by a countershaft and side chains.
