Abstract

172,946. Henning, C. B. Dec. 16, 1920, [Convention date]. Roses; rotary apparatus.- A spraying-nozzle for irrigation purposes is provided with u series of orifices 11 formed in groups, the orifices in each group being drilled at different inclinations as shown, so that water is projected therethrough to correspondingly different distances. The nozzle may be screwed on the end of a hose and may be provided with lugs for screwing on to a stand or with a rod screwed into a socket for supporting the nozzle. In a modified form, Fig. 5, the nozzle is in the form of a tee-piece plugged at the ends and supplied with liquid through the third branch. In a further modification, the nozzles are mounted on the arms of a rotary distributor.
