Abstract

169,603. Eilhauer, O. Aug. 19, 1920. Warp beams. - A loom warp beam has a screwthread along its surface, on to which rings for laterally supporting superposed coils of warps are screwed to any desired spacing. As shown, the beam a has a screw-thread b of pitch about equal to the width of the rings c, which are slightly tapered towards the rims. Passages are formed in the rings near their bases, through which are threaded bands, shown S-shaped, to lie between the warps and the beams and rings to prevent the warp from catching. The beam has three grooves e, and each ring has corresponding keyways to lock the rings. The keyways are so spaced in relation to the grooves e as to give a wide range of adjustment.
