Magnetos, driving.-In an internal-combustion engine in which an auxiliary shaft v, such as the magneto shaft, is driven bv two or more coupling rods h and corresponding sets of cranks or eccentrics e, f, g, and m, n, o, in order to permit of expansion the bearings of the driven shaft are carried by a lever s pivoted at t and the driven shaft is connected to the magneto shaft by an Oldham's coupling. When only two cranks or eccentrics are used, balancing weights are provided.
