Abstract
165,640. Langton, E. A. May 27, 1920. Jet nozzles; nozzles with grooved orifices; strainers, arrangement of.-A device for filtering and purifying water &c. comprises a tap a for attachment to the source of supply connected by a diminishing box f to a cylindrical body g containing small pieces of aluminium tubing l through or around which the water flows. Additional pieces are placed at l<1>. The liquid then passes into a gun-metal container i fitted with aluminium bars m and copper-gauze bed o, and flows out through an internally grooved tube and funnelshaped nozzle k. The bars m have their upper edges m<1> Fig. 4, bevelled so as to form grooves along which the water passes to slots n, Fig. 5.
