Tyres, elastic, and tyre covers, tools for removing and replacing.-A device for forcing a tyre edge over the rim flange comprises a lever a having a projecting lug a<1> to engage the tyre, and a cranked extension a<3> terminating in a threaded spindle a<4>. The latter is adjustably secured in a spindle d journaled in one end of a link b, the other end of which is hooked to engage the opposite rim-flange as shown in Fig. 1. The end a<2> of the lever is adapted for removing the tyre from the rim, and the detached portion of the tyre may be held as shown in Fig. 2 by passing the lever a into one or other of the slots f<2> in a separate hooked member f. Specification 143,403 is referred to.
