Abstract

Shades.-A lamp shade comprises an open frame holding slidable panels, the adjacent edges of which are enclosed by hinged or detachable covering-members 3 adapted to hold the panels in position or permit their removal. In one form, the frame consists of horizontal members 5 of channel section secured to T-section side members 6. The members 3 are hinged at their upper ends to vertical pins 7, and are provided at their lower ends with securing-means such as a. tooth or blade or a spring 12, Fig. 7, engaging beneath the frame members 5. A flat plate secured to the upper members of the frame is provided with means for attachment to a lamp, In a modification, a pin secured to the upper end of the members 3 engages over an upwardly projecting pin and rests on a shoulder thereon.
