Abstract
162,467. Bradbury, T. F., and Rolls- Royce, Ltd. Feb. 25, 1920. Alloys.-Antimony, magnesium, and titanium, or any two of them, are added to copperaluminium alloys containing 3-15 per cent. of copper, or to zinc-aluminium alloys containing 5-20 per cent of zinc, or to copper-zinc-aluminium alloys containing 1-6 per cent of copper and 1-20 per cent of zinc, the total addition being 0.5-3 per cent, and the amount of any one metal not exceeding 1.5 per cent. Iron, manganese, silicon, tin, nickel, tungsten or chromium may be present as impurities or minor constituents. In the case of an aluminium-zinc alloy containing titanium and magnesium, the titanium does not exceed 0.8 per cent.
