Abstract

161,384. Jayes, A. H. Feb. 10, 1920. Bakers' ovens.-In a baker's oven of the type having trays carried by frames pivotally suspended from links of two endless chains, an automatic trip-mechanism is provided at the discharging point. The trays are provided with movable sides 18, Fig. 3, both being pivoted to the rods 16 of frames 2. To discharge the trays a trip roller 20 is moved by the lever 19 into the path of the trays, which are thus tilted about the rod 16. A rack 21 on the tray then rotates the toothed segment 22 pivoted to the frame, operating the arms 23, 24, and lowering the side 18, when the loaves slide down to a conveyer. Combustion products from the furnace 35 pass up flues 37, across the oven by flues 38, 39 arranged between the conveyer tracks, and thence by flues 40 to the chimney. The conveyer is driven through the shaft 9 by gearing 12, 13 and the pulleys 27, 30.
