Abstract
157,287. Hernu, H. Dec. 9, 1918, [Convention date]. Scrubbers a n d washers. - Within a divided casing located over a water tank with an adjoined gas store tank, a tube A supplies water to the centre of a fan disc B having straight cr curved blades D and formed with a well which spreads the water in a funnelshaped form for scrubbing the gas as it issues through the pipe E. Suspended matter is caught and projected to the periphery of rapidly rotating discs G having gas ways in the form of sectors or circles; one disc J has an enveloping rim to oppose passage of the gas except through the gas ways. A second fan disc L, the rear face of which has exhaust blades and outlet passages between peripheral extensions, dries and ejects the gas. The apparatus may be used for purifying water or as a refrigerator or purifier for vehicles using gas.
