Abstract
The insert to be worn on the body is capable of absorbing body fluids. For this purpose, it comprises an inner layer (24), an outer layer (22) and an absorbent basic body (26) of wood cellulose fibres in between. This wood cellulose contains lignin, so that the wettability is reduced and the elasticity of fibres wetted by use is improved. The essential feature is that the average length of the fibres is 1.0 to 1.9 mm. This insert can be used as diaper or sanitary towel. <IMAGE>
