Reservoir pens. - The ink-outlet and air-inlet passages in a fountain pen are formed in a recess d in the nib-carrier a beneath the nib g, open at the top and communicating with the ink reservoir, an ink-feed tongue f being placed at the top of the recess to divide it into an upper capilliary inkpassage between the nib g and tongue f and a lower air passage beneath the tongue f in the recess d. Both passages are rectilinear and of uniform cross-section to ensure a uniform flow. The ink-feed tongue f may have projections l at its rear end which co-operate with projections i on the nib-holder and recesses r in the shank of the nib g to prevent the tongue f from dropping out and to position the nib correctly, the nib being held in position by a ring n. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that the air passage may be arranged in a removable spring insertion piece held at its rear end in a groove in the nibholder and pressing the tongue against the nib. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
