Abstract

This control device serves for the alternating unilateral actuation of bilaterally actuatable reciprocating pistons (17) of engines. In order to reverse the direction of the piston (17) from advance to return, a pitot tube (23 and 23') is assigned to each limit position of the piston (17), which tube interacts respectively with a closing member (38) provided in the area of the piston rod (16). In order to permit a precisely central application of the force in the piston rod axis (19) of the closing member (38) to the orifice area (33) of the pitot tube (23), at at least one limit stop or in the case of a reversal, the one closing member (38) is arranged as an extension of the piston rod axis (19) and is actuatable by one end of the piston rod (16), the orifice (33) of the assigned pitot tube (23) lying on the piston rod axis (19).
