Abstract
1534313 Carburetter cold start arrangement SOC INDUSTRIELLE DE BREVETS ET D'ETUDES 21 April 1976 [26 April 1975] 16155/76 Heading F1H In a constant vacuum type carburetter, valve 38 is operable to reduce the depression in chamber 28 in response to the depression below the throttle valve 12 when the engine temperature is below its normal level, thus enriching the mixture. At normal temperature operation the expansion of capsule 52 which is in contact with engine coolant in passing 50 prevents valve 38 from responding to the depression below the valve 12 and also moves lever 44 out of contact with the first idle lever 60. To increase fuel flow during cranking, solenoid valve 68, operated by the starter motor supply allows fuel to be drawn through duct 66, a valve 64 preventing such flow when the engine is above a certain temperature.
