Abstract

1533501 Colour developer sheet FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 11 Jan 1977 [13 Jan 1976] 01011/77 Heading D2B A colour developer sheet which forms a colour image when imagewise contacted with a colour former comprises a sheet of paper bearing on one side thereof a layer of colour developer, a hot water extract of the sheet of paper having a pH of from 6 to 9. The sheet of paper is sized with an appropriate sizing agent, of which many examples are given. The paper may be made from a natural pulp, or a mixture of natural and synthetic pulps. The preferred colour developer is an activated clay. In an example, a paper support is prepared from a pulp sized with an alkyl succinic anhydride and a cationic starch. The support was then coated with a composition comprising activated clay, starch, and a styrene-butadiene rubber latex.
