Abstract

During filling with products, the weight per pack must not fall below a minimum value. On the other hand, the minimum weight should be exceeded as little as possible, in order to avoid any losses. The weighing apparatus comprises a container (19), in which a product is weighed, a conveying means (20) in order to feed the product to the container (19), and a weighing meter (12) in order to determine the weight of the product in the container (19). The weighing meter (12) has a member (146) which is moved in relation to a trigger device and in proportion to the weight of the product in the container. The trigger device comprises means (102, 144, 147', 148') which generate a first signal. This signal ensures that the speed of the conveying means (20, 24) is progressively reduced when the weight of the product in the container (19) approaches the desired weight. A second signal stops the conveying means (20, 24) when the desired weight is reached. <IMAGE>
