Abstract
1532406 Filter element and die for making it DAVIS INDUSTRIAL (FILTERS) Ltd 11 Nov 1975 [11 Nov 1974] 48779/74 Headings BID and BIT A die comprising intercalated parallel knives 13, 14 connected in pairs by curved knives 15, 16, all projecting from a base plate, is pressed against a block of open-celled foam plastic to produce a series of cuts which enable the block to be opened out to form a corrugated filter element (Fig. 3 not shown) with rounded exterior apices. A more complex die can cut a block to the form illustrated in Fig. 4 (not shown) which is opened out to form an annular corrugated element. Fig. 1 is prior art.
