Abstract

1531435 Carbon fibre tape manufacture IMPERIAL METAL INDUSTRIES (KYNOCH) Ltd 17 June 1976 [17 April 1975 15 May 1975] 15967/75 and 20755/75 Heading D1L Carbon fibre tape is manufactured by impregnating tows 60 of the fibre individually with a settable resin and then flattening the impregnated tows over a bar 72 so as to cause the tows to join side-by-side to form the tape. The resin applicator may be that disclosed in Specification 1434926 and the flattening device that disclosed in Specification 1476929.
