Abstract

1530158 Bottle necks; closures BEHRING- WERKE AG 9 Dec 1975 [10 Dec 1974] 50417/75 Heading B8T A bottle, particularly for storage of lyophilized pharmaceutical compositions under sterile conditions, includes a double-conical ring 2 at its neck. The angle of the upper surface of the ring 2 with respect to a plane perpendicular to the bottle axis is in the range 50-60 degrees, preferably 56 degrees, and the angle of the lower surface is in the range 10-15 degrees, preferably 13 degrees. The bottle is closed by a stopper 3 within the neck, and a cap 5 pushed on to the outside of the neck. The cap 5 comprises upper and lower rings joined by frangible material to indicate tampering, the lower ring including a double-conical recess 7 to engage the ring 2 of the bottle.
