1528049 Elevating and transporting devices HERBERT MORRIS Ltd 19 Nov 1976 [27 Nov 1975] 48825/75 Heading B8L [Also in Division B7] A device for transporting a load between stations during fabrication of a structure, comprises a load engaging beam 16 mounted on one or a plurality of bogie carriages 11 movable along rails 15, the carriages incorporating elevating jacks 17 and guides 19 facilitating vertical movement of the boom. The jacks 17 may be hydraulic or screw-operated and the bogie wheels 12 are electrically or hydraulically driven. Further specialist jacks may be provided on the carriages, either fixed or movable relative thereto.
