Abstract

1528016 Liquid dispensing nozzles ATLANTIC RICHFIELD CO 22 Dec 1975 [26 Dec 1974 2 July 1975] 52371/75 Heading B8N A liquid dispensing nozzle has a flexible vapour collector 17 surrounding its spout 13 with a face seal 22 to engage the inlet of a liquid receiver, the face seal 22 being connected to a spring assembly 26, 27 at different points to allow rotation of the seal about an axis transverse to the axis of the spout. The spring assembly preferably comprises a pair of helical springs attached to a mounting heel 21 for the seal at diametrically opposed positions. The seal has a compressible cellular plastics material which may be coated 221 with leather or plastics. The vapour collector is a bellows attached to the nozzle housing 10. Latches (36), (37), Fig. 3 (not shown), are provided on the spout to retain it in the inlet (35) when dispensing.
