1526633 Conductor cylinder for strip plating KABEL-UND METALLWERKE GUTEHOFFNUNGSHUTJE AG 10 March 1977 [31 March 1976] 10173/77 Heading C7B A conductor cylinder for conducting heavy electric currents in continuous band plating apparatus comprises a hollow steel cylindrical element 1 shunk at its respective ends on to the curved flanges 4, 5 of two steel supporting journals 2, 3 provided with current conducting elements, at least one journal having a longitudinal bore 7, 8 for the supply and/or discharge of a cooling medium, a highly conductive bushing 9, 10 e.g. of Cu shunk on to cylindrical portion of each journal, and an outer highly conductive metal skin 11 e.g. of Cu electrodeposited on to the element 1 and the journals. A welded seam 6 may be formed between the element 1 and each flange. A hard Cr layer may be applied to the outer skin 11.
