Abstract
1526369 Elevator control system HITACHI Ltd 21 Oct 1976 [24 Oct 1975] 43749/76 Heading G3N An elevator system controls the start of cage movement to prevent undue cage jump. The cage and counterweight are slung over a sheave driven by a motor and a detector finds the unbalanced torque due to the difference between a torque applied to the motor by the cage and a torque applied to the motor by the counterweight. A speed command generator determines the desired cage speed and an acceleration command device, shown in the upper part of Fig. 8, generates a cage acceleration command. A compensation signal generator, shown in the lower half of Fig. 8, produces an output, in accordance with the detected unbalance torque, before cage start. The acceleration command is combined with the compensation signal so as to increase, at cage acceleration, the input to the torque control at a rate smaller than the maximum rate of increase in the acceleration command.
