1525750 Cameras SUNPACK KK 22 Dec 1975 52395/75 Heading G2A A camera has two sets of non-numerate symbols one set being used to set the diaphragm aperture for daylight exposures and the other being used to set the diaphragm aperture for flash exposures operation of a flash power switch 26 causing only the appropriate set to be displayed. As shown the daylight set indicates weather conditions and the flash set indicates object distance. As shown in Fig. 1, the switch 26 is off and the weather pictures are in alignment with a window 71. Movement of a member 50 pivots diaphragm 40 via a pin 57 and at the same time moves the weather pictures under window 71. When the most appropriate picture is visible adjustment is stopped. If a blank picture becomes visible, this is an indication that a flash exposure is necessary. Movement of switch 26 to energize the flash also moves a changeover lever 32 leftwards to cam the symbol carrier 54 against a spring 58 whereby the object distant pictures are visible through window 71. Member 50 is again operated manually to adjust the diaphragm until the most appropriate picture becomes visible. In Fig. 3 (not shown), the weather and object pictures are carried by different members which are brought into and out of overlapping relation to make one or other of them visible depending on whether or not the flash switch is closed. In Fig. 4 (not shown) two windows (471, 472) overlie the two rows, one window being blocked according to whether or not the flash switch is closed.
