Abstract
1525306 Rotary saws G ECOLASSE 20 Sept 1976 [19 Sept 1975] 38910/76 Heading B5L The blade 5 of a portable rotary saw is rotated by an hydraulic motor 3 mounted on a fork at the end of a hollow handle 1 through which an inlet hose 7 and outlet hoses 8 and 9 pass to a reservoir which may be part of a tractor hydraulic system. The blade is mounted on a reduced portion 4<SP>1</SP> of the motor shaft by a nut 6 and is prevented from flying off the shaft by the co-operation of inwardly turned lips 24, on members 21 secured to the blade, with an annular groove 23 on a bush 22 surrounding the shaft. A bypass valve 10 when open interconnects the three hoses to prevent pressure being applied to the motor, the valve being operated by a lever 11 connected to a rod 12 which is movable against a spring 15 to close the valve on depression of a further lever 17. A strap which is adapted to be worn by the operator may be attached to the handle.
