Abstract
1523331 Optical filters STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd 26 Feb 1976 [6 March 1975 ] 9348/75 Heading G2J An optical interference filter comprises a stack of parallel sheets formed of germanium, silicon, zinc sulphide or zinc selenide, each pair of sheets being separated by annular spacers which define cavities each of which contains a fluid of a relatively low refractive index or a vacuum. The spacers are formed by vacuum deposition of germanium or made from gold or silver. Spacer dots may be formed at the centre of each cavity.
