Abstract

1523144 Supports for ceramic ware during firing SOCCERAMICAITALIANARICHARDGINORI SpA 14 Aug 1975 [30 Aug 1974] 33949/75 Heading F4B Apparatus for supporting ceramic ware, e.g. dishes 44, during firing comprises a plurality of horizontally disposed trays 10 spaced one above the other by means of upright members 12 to form stacks 16 arranged side-by-side on base trays 48, 50 mounted on a truck. Each tray 10 is of elongate shape with a female recess 18 at one end and a male projection 20 at the opposite end, the projection 20 being shaped so as to be received in the recess 18 of an adjacent tray 10. Holes 22, 24, 26 are provided respectively in either side of recess 18 and in the projection 20, each said hole being arranged to accommodate a respective pin 28 which forms part of an upright spacer member 12. Each pin 28 comprises a shoulder 32 and upper and lower pin portions 34 and 30 respectively, the pin portions being engagingly received in cylindrical spacers 38 also forming part of said upright members 12. Each tray 10 is formed with a countersunk seat 40 provided with a disc 42 of refractory material upon which the ceramic ware 44 to be fired is mounted.
