Abstract

1522472 Lighting fittings P H WAUMSLEY 30 July 1975 [30 April 1974 12 Dec 1974] 18849/74 and 53856/74 Heading F4R An attachment for a fluorescent lamp comprises a transparent or translucent protective envelope 12 mounted on the lamp by end cap assemblies 14 (see Specification 1,520881) and means 17 for modifying the light transmitted from the lamp over at least a part of the envelope 12. The light may be modified to show a display, instructions or it may be filtered. The means 17 may comprise a rolled sheet, a cylindrical member, or the envelope 12 may carry on its inner or outer surface material to produce the desired result. A filter may be included to render the lamp suitable for use in a photographic dark room.
