Sweeping-machines.-Consists in providing a three-wheeled motor-driven sweeping-machine for road and other surfaces with the following five features in combination, (1) two front wheels b pivoted for steering and a single rear wheel c driven from the propelling motor d through a gear box e, (2) a rotary inclined brush f arranged between the front and rear wheels and extending across and beyond the chassis a, (3) a brush frame g pivoted at the rear a<1> to the chassis and suspended at the front by levers h counterbalanced by weights i, (4) a universally-jointed shaft j and gearing k for driving the brush from the gear box e, and (5) brushlifting gear h<1>, h<2>, h<3> connected with the counterweighted levers h.
