Abstract

1518577 Unsaturated polyester mouiding compositions SOC ITALIANA RESINE SIR SpA 29 Oct 1976 [30 Oct 1975] 45188/76 Heading C3R A moulding composition comprises (a) from 10 to 50% by weight of a mixture of unsaturated polyesters A and B, polyester A being present in an amount of from 10 to 90% by weight of the mixture and having a melting point of greater than 70‹ C. and being derived from an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid (e.g. fumaric acid) and 2,2-bis(4<1>-hydroxycyclohexyl) propane or a halogenated derivative thereof, and polyester B having a melting point of at least 60‹ C. and being derived from an alkylene glycol (e.g. propylene glycol), an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid (e.g. fumaric acid) and a saturated dicarboxylic acid (e.g. isophthalic acid), (b) from 0À2 to 2% by weight of an organic peroxide and (c) an inert filler. The composition may also contain a polymerization inhibitor and a lubricant.
