Abstract

1516834 Coating applicator JOHN DALE Ltd 12 May 1975 [21 May 1974 25 Sept 1974] 44367/77 and 50211/77 Divided out of 1516833 Heading B2L [Also in Division B8] The inside wall of a collapsible tube, e.g. a toothpaste tube, (not shown), is coated with a layer of sealant material by directing the discharge of a nozzle 30 of a metering apparatus (see Division B8), onto a disc 68 which is rotated at high speed by an air motor 66. Warm air is also directed onto the disc to prevent setting of the molten sealant material, e.g. wax. The air motor is mounted on a carriage which is displaceable.
