1516608 Phosphate primer DR KURT HERBERTS & CO GmbH 16 Feb 1977 [18 Feb 1976] 06425/77 Heading C7U A corrosion-inhibiting primer comprises zinc phosphate, a binder, a solvent, a filler (optional) and H 3 PO 4 . The binder is preferably an alkyd resin, optionally mixed with a melamine resin, the filler may be talcum, kaolin, or TiO 2 , and the solvent water or organic. The primer may be used on iron and Mg alloy surfaces, and may also contain a chromate of one or more of Zn, Ba, Sr.
