Abstract

Hair-curling appliances.-A hair-waving device consists of a strip of spring material, such as flat steel, bent upon.itself at 13, as shown in Fig. 2, with concave bends 14, 15, between which the wavy bar 10 is welded or riveted. The hair is wound upon the bar 10, and retained in position by the engagement of the point 16 of the one arm in the hole 18 in the turned-up end of the other arm. A modified form of fastening is shown in Fig. 4 in which a turned-over point 16<1> on one arm engages in a long slot 18<1> in the flat end of the other.
