Abstract
1513694 Drying apparatus L M KOCHETON V P OSINSKY B S SAZHIN E A CHUVPILO and S M SIROKO 21 July 1976 30456/76 Heading F4G An apparatus for drying dispersed materials, e.g. polymerics, salts, fertilizers, comestibles, comprises a cylindrical chamber 1 having an inlet 2 for hot air, an inlet 4 for the material, and outlets 11 at each end 10 of the chamber for air and material. The inlet 2 leads to a passage 7 formed between the exterior wall 3 of the chamber and a member 6, most of the air travelling round the passage to a tangential inlet at its far end, louvres 8 controlling passage of a minor portion of the air directly to the chamber. The outlets 11 lead to spiral conduits connected to ducts 12 for exit of the hot air, and pipes 13 for exit of the dried material.
