Abstract
1507414 Hydantoin derivatives UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE 28 July 1976 [28 July 1975] 31397/76 Heading C2C Novel compounds of Formula I wherein R 1 and R 2 are each H, C 1-5 alkyl, phenyl or C 1-5 hydroxyalkyl provided that both R 1 and R 2 are not phenyl or R 1 and R 2 together are -CH 2 (CH 2 ) n CH 2 - where n is 2 or 3 or salts thereof are prepared by reaction of POCl 3 with the novel compounds of Formula II wherein R 1 and R 2 are as above or both may be phenyl these compounds being prepared by reaction of diethanolamine with the corresponding haloethyl hydantoin. Pharmaceutical compositions in conventional forms and having anti-tumour activity comprise an above novel compound of Formula I and a carrier or diluent.
