Abstract

1507106 Inspection chamber HEPWORTH IRON CO Ltd 20 May 1976 20839/76 Heading E1C An inspection chamber comprises at least three components; a bottom component 1 with upwardly open channels 7, 8A-D and an integral upstanding circular wall 6; a top component 3 with a domed portion 23 integral with a circular side wall 22 and having an offset circular access opening 24; and a removable cover 5 for the access opening, the upper end of the wall of the bottom component and the lower end of the top component being provided with coupling means, such as flanges 15, 21 or spigot and socket connectors. Intermediate components 2A, 2B having internal steps 20 may also be provided. The bottom section may be tapered so that a number of them can be nested for ease of transport. The components are made of glass fibre reinforced plastics material and accept a standard size manhole cover 5.
