Abstract

1507027 Cable termination HAWKE CABLE GLANDS Ltd 30 April 1975 [9 May 1974] 20420/74 Heading H2E A sealing device for electrical conductors comprises an outlet member 14 containing a seal 10 which either has bores 32 therethrough or has, for example, markings on both end faces so that bores may be made therethrough, and a second (inlet) member 22 having a single bore which engages directly or indirectly outlet member 14 so that it causes compression of the seal at its end faces radially outside the area of the bores so the seal is pressed into fluid-tight engagement with the conductors in use. Plugs may be provided to close off any bores present in the seal which are not required for the passage of a conductor.
