Abstract

1506920 Concrete slabs; tanks DR BARTH KG and F VON LANGSDORFF BAUVERFAHREN GmbH 14 Oct 1975 [24 Oct 1974] 41929/75 Headings E1B and E1T Concrete building slabs each have lugs 2, 3 on a pair of opposite sides extending over part of the height of the slab and formed with through bores 4 for receiving connecting rods 6. The height of the two lugs of a slab preferably equals the height of the slab, and the rods may be equal in height to the slabs or to the height of several slabs. The diameter of the lugs may be greater than or equal to the thickness of the slabs. The rods may be metal and completely fill the bores or may be replaced by rods which reinforce concrete cast in situ or be replaced by cast-in situ concrete or synthetic plastics. The lugs may be integral with the slabs or formed by separate members keyed to the slabs by means of dovetails. Both lugs may be at the upper or lower edge of the slab. The slabs may be used to form zig-zag, sinusoidal, curved or polygonal walls. The rods may have a screw threaded end projecting from the top of a wall to secure a seat. A hexagon shaped concrete trough may be built up from the slabs on an hexagonal plate having its perimeter stepped to receive the lower edge of the slabs.
