Abstract

1506813 Pressure-sensitive record sheets KORES HOLDING ZUG AG 23 Jan 1976 [25 Feb 1975] 02715/76 Heading D2B A pressure-sensitive record sheet comprises a support sheet coated on its undersurface with a wax containing a solution of a dyestuff precursor and having on its upper surface a coating containing an acid-reacting substance capable of reacting with the dyestuff precursor to form a colour, said acid-reacting substance comprising a chloride of a metal having an atomic weight of from 50 to 66 and being embedded within a binder. Conventional dyestuff precursors may be used. The metal chloride may be used together with urea or a derivative thereof e.g. thiourea, diphenyl thiourea, N-phenyl thiourea, or a urea-halogen complex e.g. trifluoride-urea or trichloride-urea complexes, and/or a metal stearate. The binder may be a vinyl polymer. The record sheet is used as an intermediate sheet between appropriate top and bottom record sheets.
