Abstract

1506216 Rotary switches PLESSEY CO Ltd 12 Aug 1976 [15 Aug 1975] 33996/75 Heading H1N An electric switch comprises a movable member 5 which carries or moves a phosphorbronze or beryllium-copper contact member 6 for selective engagement with fixed domeshaped contacts 3 mounted on an insulating board 2, and indexing means comprising a spring-urged insulating stud 13 of glass-filled nylon which snaps into troughs between the contacts 3. As shown, the member 5 is a rotor of glass-filled polyester provided with a screwdriver slot for operation, but a control knob (not shown) may alternatively be fitted. A stop plate 14 may be provided to co-operate with a protuberance 15 to limit the angle of rotation.
