Abstract
1505891 Crematory furnaces B B C BROWN BOVERI & CO Ltd 23 May 1975 [25 July 1974] 22642/75 Heading F4B An electrically heated crematory furnace comprises a grating 5 receiving the coffin in the combustion chamber 1, a sloping ash plate 7 in the ash collecting chamber 6 and hot air nozzles 22 disposed in side walls just below the average surface level of ash on the ash plate. With an ash plate 2À4 m. long and 1À0 m. wide and a combustion chamber 1À0 m. high, the nozzles 22 numbering forty-eight and having a diameter of 1À5 cm. extend from air heating chambers 23 in the side walls 2. Primary air is supplied to combustion chamber 1 through duct 17 and nozzles 13. Waste gases pass from chamber 6 through a duct 15 into a bottom after burning chamber 16 and out through flue 21.
