1505748 Moulding ornaments Y MIYAMURA 16 April 1975 15725/75 Heading B6G [Also in Division B5] Ornaments containing ornamental elements encased in clear plastic against a coloured background are made by sinking a dished shell of transparent material into a mass of oil clay 12, Fig. 4, with the opening of the dished shell upwards, and its rim substantially level with the top surface of the oil clay, placing the ornamental elements, e.g. a flower in the shell, pouring in a settable liquid that will harden to a transparent solid in an amount less than that required to fill the shell, allowing the liquid to set, pouring in at least one further portion of settable liquid, the last such portion containing colouring material and being sufficient to fill the shell, allowing the further portion(s) of liquid to set, and removing the finished ornament from the oil clay. The ornament can be applied to a ring, a broach, a button, a pendant or other accessory.
