Abstract
1505392 Coating diamond stylus with Ti MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 23 May 1975 [20 June 1974 (2)] 22893/75 Heading C7F [Also in Division G5] A diamond for a stylus is coated with Ti or a Ti alloy by sputtering or vapour deposition and then heated, e.g. 700 to 1300‹C in a non- oxidizing or nitriding atmosphere. The alloy may be Ti-Pd, Ti-Mn, Ti-Ni, Ti-Al-Cu, Ti-Al-Sn, Ti-Al- Mo, Ti-Al-V, Ti-Al-Fe, Ti-Al-Cr-Mo, Ti-Al-Cr-Fe, Ti-Al-Mo-V, and Ti-Al-Cr-V.
