1504079 Stethoscopes K BAUER 23 July 1976 [11 Aug 1975] 30860/76 Heading A5R A stethoscope is provided with a chestpiece 1 having a pair of generally paraboloid-shaped horns 2, each horn being provided on its internal surface with a plurality of grooves 4 which converge from a base portion 6 of the horn to an apex region 5 which communicates with a bore 3 leading via a flexible tube to an earpiece. The chestpiece is provided with a diaphragm in a recess 7 and may be provided with only a single horn.
